Absence
All students are required to attend classes as scheduled. If for some reason you are unable to attend, you must notify your teacher of the reason prior to class. Excused absences are as follows: death in the immediate family, severe illness and/or hospitalization. For these instances only, you will be required to meet with an IHAS staff member to receive the important class content that you missed.
Vacations should be scheduled around class dates and do not constitute excused absence.
You are allowed three full days of absence in one school year. Absence from more than three full days of the EMP class schedule for the attending students will require that the year be repeated, at your expense.
Tardiness
Tardiness which exceeds 30 class minutes will constitute an absence of one-half day. If you leave class more than 30 minutes prior to the end of class, it will constitute an absence of one-half day.
